Nativa Geranio

In 1996, Nativa Geranio shook the foundations of Salvadoran rock with a debut album that would go on to define a generation. At a time when local rock struggled for visibility, the band's music broke through to national radio, helping establish a new cultural moment in Central America.
Led by the now-classic single "Abajo del Agua," the album became a turning point for the region's rock scene. The song grew into an anthem, opening doors for the band to tour across Central America and share stages with international icons including Cafe Tacvba, Men at Work, and Gustavo Cerati.
Nearly thirty years later, Nativa Geranio returns to that defining body of work in partnership with Normandie Records - fully re-recording the album from the ground up for a new generation, while honoring the spirit of the original.
Roberto Guzman - guitar & vocals. Benedicto Morataya - drums. Oscar Rodriguez - bass. Emilio Nosthas - second guitar. Rene Avalos - keys. Javier Gomez - bass.
